About me:

I've practised various martial arts for 10 years. From traditional Japanese martial arts, to modern self defense and even some MMA and combat sports. In most martial arts, break falling is incorporated into the warming up so that you practise it every single session. 

When I started bouldering and climbing a few years back, I was surprised how few people practised falling. I fell in love with the sport and started bouldering and climbing every chance I got. I noticed my martial arts background really helped me fall safely when bouldering. I have a masters degree in cognitive psychology and with that expertise I incoorperated fall practise into my warming up routine for sport climbing, which significantly improved my mental game.

The more I started thinking about it, the more I realised falling is an essential part of climbing. I started teaching break falling at my local bouldering gym, and as demand increased I decided to devote a website to the subject.
